I'm so proud of my family I thought I would show them off. Thank You for being interested and letting me brag about them. They are my world and I'm so blessed.

I'm proud of my little guy.
This post my cause some folks to look a little different at me but it is what it is. If you don't know this about me already I get a little stressed (understatement)when my house is disarrayed. I'm not quite sure what takes place when I go to the store for an hour but it's not pretty. I returned home right after a nuclear bomb hit my house about two weeks ago and instead of cleaning I was in that "I call mercy" mood. A few days later (when I was over my I give up mood) I decided to clean the watermellon juice and seeds off the chairs and table in the kitchen and Erin found a dry watermellon seed and wanted to plant it. ONE seed, 3 days old, stuck to this chair. "It won't work Erin, but if you insist (and she did) whatever, do what you want". So in the soil it goes and that was the end of that. Erin patiently waited and 3 days later, "MOM!, look at my watermellon" Sure enough there was a little sprout.
About a week later we had sandwiches for lunch and being the clean freak I am the next morning I was cleaning up the mess and in all my frustration of not having time and energy to be more clean I looked down and right there.....a dried tomatoe seed stared me in the face. "Should I try this?...it will never grow." I decided to take Erin's childlike Faith with this seed and I secretly planted it not wanting to be embarressed about being naive if it didn't work. But 3 days later a little sprout pop thru the soil and 5 days later a couple of leaves pop out and each day he gets a little bigger and more leaves continue to grow out. The little guy is in my kitchen window and he reminds me everyday that if I have understanding that I'm not perfect and faith that Heavenly Father will take care of the rest I can truely still be productive.
P.S. The watermellon vine is still growing like a weed also. Erin is very proud of it.

We have a couple of watermelon plants too. They grow fast, so find some room in the backyard.
Alicia even wanted to plant pumpkin seeds too.
Your blog is beautiful! I'm glad you threw your hat in the ring! Welcome to the addiction! Well, I should only speak for myself!
What a beautiful story. Motherhood teaches so many beautiful lessons. I'm 100% positive your house is cleaner than mine.
Tammy,
That is the sweetest story. Our children teach us such profound things if we are smart enough to learn them, and you obviously are.
